Yashoda and Krishna is the most celebrated mother-son relationship in Indian mythology. Yashoda means ‘the one who is giver’. She is the foster mother of lord Krishna who brings up Krishna in Brindavan and plays a great role in Krishna’s childhood. Yashoda’s unfathomable love for Krishna has inspired me to paint this. Through this artwork, I aim to depict the emotions of love, affection, and warmth. Love is the most basic human emotion and I believe there is no better way to show love than a mother and her child. This relationship shares the most boundless emotions. In this artwork, a simple effortless embrace shows the purest form of love, care, and passion.
